BackAn Important Reminder for Families With PA Medicaid Insurance
The Pennsylvania Department of Health & Human Services is making changes to Medicaid health plans.
Everyone who has Pennsylvania Medicaid insurance through Aetna Better Health or UHC Families will need to re-enroll and select an insurance carrier — even if you’re happy with the plan you have.
Re-enrollment must occur by August 16, 2022.
Changes take effect September 1, 2022.
If your child currently has Medicaid insurance, you should have already received reminders to complete this re-enrollment. You can complete it now by going to Pennsylvania Enrollment Services, or by calling 1-800-440-3989.
When you re-enroll, you’ll be asked to once again choose a primary care provider (PCP) for your child. We’re honored to have you choose Kids Plus Pediatrics.
You’ll also be asked to select an insurance carrier. Kids Plus will continue to accept both Highmark Wholecare (formerly Gateway) and UPMC for You, and we’ve added a new carrier: Health Partners. We will not be participating with Geisinger or Amerihealth.
After you’ve re-enrolled, please share your new insurance information with us when you call to schedule a visit. And be sure to bring your new insurance card to the office when you come for your appointment.
As always, we look forward to continuing to provide excellent care for you and your children!
