Infant Massage

This four-week workshop, taught by Breastfeeding Center of Pittsburgh Manager and Certified Educator of Infant Massage Wendy Eson, is designed for parents/caregivers and their babies, ages newborn to 9 months.

Parents learn taught massage techniques to use on their baby in a supportive, casual environment. Benefits of infant massage for babies include interaction and bonding with parent, stimulation, relaxation, and relief. Benefits to parents include increased confidence with parenting, better understanding of their baby, and techniques to calm and soothe baby.

Parents are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, bring a blanket and pillow, as class will take place on the floor. Unscented, oil (coconut or sunflower) will be provided for the massage. Essential oils are not recommended.

Like all Kids Plus classes, Infant Massage is open to the community. The cost of the four-week class is $40. Kids Plus Families enjoy a discounted price of $25.
