Chief Financial Officer
Dr. Albert Wolf grew up in Bethel Park, where he and his two brothers owned, collected, and battled with more than 250 action figures. He was a huge Star Wars fan — shirts, posters, books, lunch boxes; The Force was always with him — so those were his favorites. And though it sometimes had trouble making that leap to hyperspace, his favorite toy was his Millenium Falcon spaceship.
Dr. Wolf grew up (mostly) and graduated from Bethel Park High School, where he played viola with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra and became the state champion in the 100-yard breaststroke. He went to Harvard University, where he majored in Biochemistry and captained the swim team, before going to med school at the University of Pittsburgh.
He completed his internship and residency right here in Pittsburgh, working with Drs. Pai and Wolynn before joining Kids Plus in 2000. He’s board-certified in Pediatrics, International Board-Certified as a Lactation Consultant, and a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Wolf and Dr. Wolynn were named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Health Care Award winners in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia for the innovative care and service work they do at Kids Plus.
Dr. Wolf is a voracious reader, enjoys playing the occasional computer game (especially with Dr. Wolynn!), and has seen Rush in concert once or twice or maybe even forty times. He plays a mean bass guitar — though not quite as well as Geddy Lee — and loves both playing and watching hockey.
Dr. Wolf and his wife stay busy taking care of their two daughters, and his whole family loves going hiking and camping.
His favorite place to “play” in Pittsburgh — other than home, or anywhere that Rush might be performing — is Heinz Hall for a Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performace.
